I just finished off Season 4 of the X-Files in my current re-watch leading up to the new episodes in January. Just watched Gethsemane, and holy shit, is Scully a badass. Dying of cancer, gets knocked down a flight of stairs, and still chases a speeding car through a parking garage and then jumps in front of it with her gun pointed at the driver. So tiny. So badass. This is Scully. She is an inspiration to us all.Related content

I'm kinda dreading season 9, myself. I don't think I've been able to watch the whole thing through since it originally aired. Hopefully Jump the Shark will be easier to handle knowing the Gunmen are (somehow) coming back.

I never watched season 9 except the last two episodes (the one with the Brady Bunch and the finale), so this is undiscovered territory for me. I did know about the Lone Gunmen and William, though. My brother watched it and told me, and I was always happy I wasn't watching anymore because of it. The boyfriend and I are really enjoying their spin-off at the moment. It's cushioning the blow, lol.
Anyway, yesss, I'm curious to see how they come back, but mostly I just want to see them, period. They're just so much fun! And I was geared to throw a fit if they didn't tackle the invasion plot either, but it sounds like they're doing that one a little, too, so right on!

I'm currently trying to get my boyfriend to watch through the Lone Gunmen series with me. I don't know if you've been following the IDW comics at all, but it sounds like this year's Christmas special will be focused on the Lone Gunmen!
