As a person who loves animations and stares at them all day, this is pretty smooth! My only problem is that you sjhould have his tail go back and forth instead of 'appearing' back down. What I find really good is that you have the tail's shadow! ouo Very nice. Anatomy wise, the tongue looks a little awkward, along with the raised paw's arm.
You should add some blinking with his four eyes, too!
