Dafina, "treasure" from Swahili, is the queen of Hoggar, chosen by Jeuri as a consort to the throne. At the time of Jer's coming to power, she is about three years old. The Queen can't stand her husband, whom she married under duress (more precisely, under moral pressure from him). But she is very attached to her cubs from him, especially to the youngest Adhiri, whom the proud father always underestimated. Dafina herself would never have wanted children from Jer, and those she gave birth to were forced by the king by brute force... After a serious case of conception of lion cubs from Jer, the lioness had scars on her hind legs.
Dafina did not break down inside, she was able to accept the atrocities committed by her husband and the children, and to love the latter with maternal love. By nature, an energetic, cheerful lady with a spark in her soul, despite the duties of a queen that fell on her shoulders early, she is sharp-tongued (especially when talking to an unloved spouse) and, of course, a caring mother who worries about children.
