Description
I looked at 's GIMP tutorial ([link] ) and decided to see if I could do the same thing on Photoshop Elements.Indeed, you could!
So I took my pencil WIP of Fullmetal Wanderer ([link] ) and turned into a rough digital line art.
Basically, I just decided to flat color it and then play with the background afterwards.
As you can see, I did both.
If anyone can think of a better title than what I have now, please tell me your thoughts!
This is going to be my basic reference / concept sheet for this Alternate Universe Edward.

Glad the tutorial helped in making this. Photoshop seems way better than GIMP inking line wise, I be too poor to afford Photoshop TTATT

This one was fairly simple to get the lines pure black, since the pencil was really dark. I'm working on the digital of Return now, but the pencil gave me some problems...
It turned into connect the dots, and I ended up having to deposterize it and set the magic wand tool on a higher tolerance so I could select all the shades of gray.
And I found a way that makes it easier to posterize correctly. Try to find an option to convert the scanned picture to grayscale before you try to posterize it.

It basically just gets rid of the colorful bits, it's much easier to select everything. If the line's dark enough, you might not even have to play connect the dots.
