Description Rainbow sure does have some style.

So, this is the 2nd installment of my 6 part art series. The format isn't EXACTLY the same as Pinkie's, but hey. I'm trying new things.

So, I remember why I don't draw Rainbow Dash often. With this style of art I'm trying out, her hair is a total pain. Not to mention, this took a heck of a while longer to finish.

As always, constructive criticism, advice, suggestions and whatnot is welcomed! I'm still sort of new to the art scene here. Not to mention vectoring.

Used: Inkscape

Time taken: 8-10 hours

This is an original drawing, so it is copyright of me.

The Cutie Mark came from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Wiki.

I really like the style you've used here

Constructive criticism is a little hard as i'm not exactly sure what you're aiming at. I'd make the blue section of her tail wider as it rather dissapears as it is and you have a few technical vector issues in the cutie mark. The cloud stroke has a few sharp edges so make the nodes smooth (shift s in Inkscape) and you have a fill or render error in the cloud too. If it looks ok in Inkscape try adding a new node to the edge of the shape that should sort it out if it's a rendering issue. Hope that makes sense

Otherwise, fantastic

Thank you!

Sorry, should have been more specific with that request! What I'm doing is basically making a regular vector, only with no strokes, really. I'll make a note to fix that blue section, I know it does sort of disappear into the background.

I actually took the cutie mark vectors from the MLPWiki, because making vectors of the cutie mark is an absolute pain. Heh. But I see what you mean, it does look very odd when it's not completely filled. I'll see if I can find another vector of the cutie mark and replace it. Thanks again!

The best place to look for any sort of vector is the ...

There's no Dashie cutie marks with SVG files there that I can find though, I can probably vector you one quickly if you'd like (I don't find Dash's too difficult).

Though if you are using any image from elsewhere (DA or not) you should really acknowledge your source in your description

Are you vectoring your ponies freehand? I really do like the style

Whoops. Heh. I'll just go add that...
I can just find one as a PNG file and import it in. Thanks for the offer though! But I wouldn't want to be a bother to anypony.
What I do is draw it out on a piece of paper, scan it to my computer and then open up Inkscape and "color" it there. But I use a mouse... so, no? But I'd like to have a tablet.

I wouldn't have offered if it was a bother

A full background trace is a bother, a cutie mark's not a problem really So the offer is still there if you want it.
