Description
So continuing with the pictures of Ratchet 's and Arcee 's incarnations here's one of Cyclonus and Tailgate...If you read the comics you know why I had to group these two characters together (and because there haven't been all that many version's of tailgate)

While many have already pointed out that RiD Cyclonus is too tiny, I'd like to point out that Prime Tailgate is too blue, when he's supposed to be white-and-blue. For reference, here are the pics of Prime Tailgate:

I haven't read the comics; why Cyclonus and Tailgate paired?

Well, Cyclonus is not a Decepticon, but an ancient TransformerΒ in the IDW comics. And at one point he joins the crew of the starship "Lost Light". Tailgate joined at the same time. At one point a Sparkeater is set loose on the ship and the captainΒ ordered the majority of the crew to pair off and lock themselves in habitation suites until the situation was resolved. Cyclonus ended up with Tailgate. Things then develop from there...

IDW Cyclonus is the definitive one for me, at least he's not Skywarp and Bombshell combined together like in 1986, and also a good buddy to Tailgate.

Don't worry about it too much. He only had a cameo in Five Faces of Darkness Part 5. I personally think that his IDW counterpart has a better design.

Only seen one or two episodes, they weren't great (at least not when compared to tf Prime), but I wouldn't describe it as bad. I'll have to give it a proper try myself at some point

What's your opinion on the upcoming new Cyberverse cartoon? I saw some toys of it in my local toy store today.

Honestly, a bit mixed. I don't dislike their designs (apart from the weird 3 fingers) but the toys (at least the ones I've seen pictures of) seem to be a bit gimmiky.
As for the cartoon, I'll withhold judgement for now, though I'm not at all a fan of the 12 minute episode time. You can't really get any decent story or character development in such a short time.

Oh, I didn't know that they had three fingers now. I'm not terribly keen on that myself to be honest and Grimlock and Wheeljack look really odd without mouth plates. Apart from that, I quite like the new designs.
The cartoon to me sounds as kiddie and as basic as RID 2015 was. I don't really like the idea of a 12 minute episode time, either. Oh well, we'll just to have see how it plays out....

Yeah, a g1-ish Grimlock especially looks weird without the mouth plate.
Wheeljack's moustache makes him look like he belongs in an old second world war RAF film to me, he needs to be in a spitfire speaking in a ridiculously posh English accent!
The new designs look fine overall to me though.
Yeah it's a bit disappointing... but maybe it'll surprise us.

Another disappointment about Cyberverse being that Bumblebee still can't talk. The first two episodes have premiered on the Cartoon Network app. So the series will be airing on TV very soon. I'm quite looking forward to it. I won't be ever as nearly as good Prime and Animated were, but let's hope it's at least decent.

Yeah, that's annoying, but I guess they want to be consistent with the movie.
My opinion on the show has been somewhat softened by the new's they're doing a series long story arc rather than loads of short 10 minute ones, so we might be able to get some decent story and characterization out of it. Yeah, it's not going to be a prime or animated but it might be fun.
I'll have to wait for it to be available on DVD, Netflix or Amazon or something, as I don't have a TV

True, but it's still getting a little ridiculous. I mean it's kind of ridiculous that the supposed "figure head" of the Transformers franchise (according to Hasbro) is still not able to talk properly. I was hoping that they would at least get that right considering the series is supposed to be "G1-based." He's a bit like an R2D2 rip-off. (no offense to R2D2)
That sounds promising and hopeful. Hopefully, you're right and we'll get an interesting story out of it after all. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

It's just a bit sad they seem to think kid's can't cope with more 'heavy' story lines.

It's certainly not very original, is it? I know that Hasbro likes to consistent across all continuities, but the lack of a proper voice is something that they shouldn't have kept consistent.
Hasbro are so shallow and stupid. Surely kids are smarter than that. Kids nowadays are actually quite old and clever for their age. This certainly proves that they couldn't care less about us older fans, sadly.

I guess it sort of become one of bees defining traits now considering he's had it since the 2007 film. But yeah it's a bit irritating after a while.
I think it's a trend in a lot of animation recently at least from what I gather. I guess simple story's are cheaper to make. But I feel in the long run it isn't good for a franchise as I think kids are more likely to remember an engaging cartoon more fondly in the long run.
Well to be fair considering they are a toy company they are going to focus on the Kids 
But yeah I get what you're saying, considering the mess the Machnima trilogy was and the looming end of the IDW comics they don't seem to be doing much for the older fans at the moment... I guess we'll have to see what they do next year.

It was an interesting and original idea at first, but it's become a worn-out cliche. It was a shock to me at first, but the show looks decent enough. I guess we will just have to ignore and tolerate that trait and try to enjoy the show. Β
I have seen quite a lot of British people here on DA, interestingly. So you're not the only one.
The show seems nice, but I still Transformers Prime, though. Which will still be better, no matter what.
I do have some good news. Hasbro has just kindly uploaded the first two episodes on YouTube only a few days ago. So we can take a look at it now.
I will get round to watching Cyberverse eventually, if I get some free that is. The same goes for RID. I've just ordered a box set of Transformers Prime Season 2, so I'll be watching that sometime soon.

When I looked at the fourth episode on YouTube, the video wasn't available. So I guess that Hasbro has stopped being kind now. Nothing good ever lasts.

Yes, that was so disappointing. Oh well, never mind. I can now say with confidence that they have started airing Cyberverse on Cartoon Network a few weeks ago. I have recorded the first several on my Sky+ HD, so I'll be watching them when I get round to it.
As for Prime, I have finished watching all three seasons on DVD over three weeks ago and I have only justΒ finished watching the first season of RID 2015 today. It's okay, but it's certainly not as good as Prime. But it's still not as bad as some people keep saying it is. They're just fed up with it not being like Prime, but it doesn't bother me that much.

I'm not sure how I'll watch it to be honest, I don't have a TV licence or a TV for that matter! Though to be honest I wasn't hugely Impressed by the few episodes I could watch, (they were fine but it's not something I'm really fussed about watching the rest of)

I can't really comment on Rid as I've not seen it. I think a lot of the critisms of it come from the tonal shift and animation downgrade from prime, and as a sequel it was always going to be compared to its predecessor. I think it might have been better received if they'd made it a stand alone series, or if they'd toned down the links to prime in the initial marketing.

Hmm, now that I'm seeing it, WFC Cyclonus acted like a coward in the DS games, seeing that he had barriers and random 'Cons protecting him, he may talk a big game, but in the end, he's a wimp and runs when all else fails.
