This weekend Warsaw had to spend about 3 000 000 EUR. to remove snow. A total removal of snow this winter has already claimed around 15 000 000 EUR.This week, several hours in Warsaw dropped 28 cm of snow, while the normal daily volume of rainfall is about 5 cm. At that time, worked in the Warsaw road 308 snow plows and two thousand people.
And we had only one week of snow so far...
So no wonder Feliks want to trade it. I bet he will ask Greece to trade it for Athens. It's still summer in Greece

Does it usually snow ever year in Warsaw?
Where I used to live, when we had 46 cm of snow one weekend, they were just like "okay, I guess school is canceled, but you're STILL expected at work!" They had even the little streets cleared and salted the day after.
Where I live now even though it's a much higher lattitude, when we get just 5 cm of snow, everyone freaks. "OMG, it's SNOW! school is canceled! work from home!" many streets are never cleared or salted, even though the local goverment struggles to obtain plows and salt. Snow here is much more debilitating here than where I used to live.
In America and Canada everyone is expected to clear their own sidewalks, driveways and cars of snow and ice.
The first city owned its own fleet of snow plows and salt-dispensing trucks. the second city rarely ever sees snow and has to rent/requisition/borrow all equipment and thus spends much more money than the first on snow removal.
however 3 million euros for ONE weekend is absurd!
