"Just....Brace yourself, sweetie... you've been in a medically-induced Coma for...the last three weeks.""Three...Three WEEKS?! " Pyrrha rasped, her voice unable to convey the disbelief and worry filling her,"But...But why?"
Kokkino stared into her daughter's emerald eyes, so much like her own, as she gently stroked one of Pyrrha's long bangs. She seemed to be struggling with her words.
"The Doctor felt it would be for the best... to keep you from exacerbating your injuries."
It was with that sentence that, for the first time, Pyrrha noticed the stinging ache in the center of her chest...looking down, her eyes widened at the sight of the wadded bandage: beneath it she could feel the familiar pull of stitches.
All at once, everything came crashing back to her....Her Match with Penny, the horrifying outcome, the sudden Grimm attack, her abortive attempt to claim the Maidens powers, her desperate (and, in hindsight, foolish, if not outright idiotic) attempt to stop Cinder Fall....the Arrow....
"DON'T" Kokkino said in alarm as Pyrrha absently reached up to probe at the wadded gauze "Just leave it alone....it was a very near thing."
"too near..." Pyrrha murmured as she shivered. She could still hear the woman's callous voice taunting her as she almost strutted around Pyrrha's fallen form.
A rock...of all the sophistication in her training and all her experience with weapons and tactics....
An errant piece of rubble thrown against the side of the witches' head with the last of Pyrrha's strength delayed her just long enough for Ruby to arrive at the top of the tower, who in TURN was able to delay Cinder long enough for Qrow Branwen and Glynda to arrive.
Needless to say, even then it had been a near thing: between Glynda all but throwing Pyrrha and Ruby onto the Bullhead she and Qrow had arrived in and the subsequent lightshow at the top of the tower, taking the woman down had been no easy task.
but taken down she had been, Pyrrha had been informed...and...she couldn't remember anything after that. She'd not even gotten to see....
"Jaune..."
"hmm?"
"Where's Jaune..." Pyrrha asked, her voice rising in alarm as she tried to sit up again, "My team, My friends, a-are they okay? Where are they?"
For the first time since Pyrrha had awoken, her mother smiled warmly.
"Your friends are resting...they've been watching over you ever since they brought you home. Ren and Nora are in the Guest Bedroom and Jaune is downstairs...your Aunt Melaine had to basically knock him out to get him to leave your side..."
For some reason, the news that her friends were so close, still at her side, filled Pyrrha with a surge of warmth that almost brought tears to her eyes.
"I'll go let them know you're awake." Kokkino said as she stood, leaning down to place a maternal kiss on Pyrrha's forehead "Just REST, Sweetie....That's all that matters now. You're on strict bed rest for at least another week before we even THINK about any physical therapy."
"Yes Mama..."

and so the Beginning of the MM!AU is revealed: Pyrrha Nikos is home safe after the disastrous events of Beacon's fall. her injuries still pain her, but she is safe in the bosom of her family.
and things begin to change towards a new future....
Also, meet Kokkino Nikos, Pyrrha's Mother in this AU: She is a retired Huntress, and i'll go into more detail about her soon.
(as for the bedroom: I honestly imagined that Pyrrha wouldn't have too much in the way of "stuff" aside from her various trophies, hence why the room is so, well, Spartan.)

To be honest I think it’s better this way. Pyrrha fighting Cinder by herself was pretty foolish. Even if she killed her it wouldn’t put an end to the Grimm Attack. And she had a freaking dragon with her! I don’t think she could KILL that!

To be fair, she may have wanted to make sure the power wasn't in Cinder's hands anymore. That would save a lot of people in the long game.

Well, this is a nice way to divert from the official release (if a little confusing, since I'm still not sure if Pyrrha got shot or not).
Can't wait to see what happens next! And, hopefully, this'll help me get emotionally prepared for Vol. 4.

since shes the "mother maiden", that would imply cinders dead. never liked her anyways. I curious to know if some things are the same as where volume 3 left off (with the exception of the silver eyes). but still I do love this idea and it makes feel glad that shes alright(I'm still in denial of her death and so are some members of the community). it just brings us some peace knowing that there's an alternate ending to her destiny and that we don't always have to go with option one. still I am curious to know what happens to the other characters. pyrrha's a parent and huntress, as well as jaune, but what about team...well I cant call it RWBY. its more like team R is lonely, W is gone, B ran away and Y is disarmed (no pun intended).

well I know shes GOING to die, but thanks for clearing that up...you know, I think theres a good chance that pyrrha may return in rwby, but your idea is the most likeliest, some think shes a grim human, some think shes a human with grim features, either way, she gonna fight her friends.

mom: she's alive...she's with her dad and sister.

mom: you didn't survive by some miracle...she saved you, as well as sustaining a few injuries. she literally used all her strength and more.
phyrra: mother, are you sure her...injuries are minimal?
mom: she lost a lot of blood I heard and I went to come over and, she only had a few bandages, but her mental state it unfocussed and full of rage and sadness, but I think she's just worried about you.
phrrha: thank gods ruby's alive, I have to thank her properly
mom: sure, but just rest, your body is still stiff.
phrrha: that sick, horrible, cruel...
mom: its ok, I'm here, your friends are alive, everyone's ok. I'm going to let you rest

I can dodge attacks and counter perfectly, but power is the issue. untouchable is not good enough. if I can hold a rock how am I suppose to throw it? or if I cant hold blow someone back, how am I going to win? its about time I change my destiny, I could of died, but I didn't. which means I can change what and who I am, I don't have to accept everything given to me. I feel as if jaune only loves Weiss for her reputation and beauty, but pyrrha gets who jaune is, she knows more about him and has a deeper connection with jaune.
but considering ACTUAL CANNON NOW, the arkos (jaune and pyrrha) and yellow snow (jaune and wiess) ships have sunken, and the only one intact on a potential docking is the Lancaster ship (jaune and ruby). unless pyrrha comes back as a grim infused human like you suggested.
I would like to see ruby and pyrrha together if she comes back and they just lie and say "she was on a secret year long mission", or "she had amnesia and got lost", or even "she was kidnapped and PRESUMMED DEAD"...but I do think its its gonna end as a Lancaster ship

Well, Pyrrha's name references flames (her name literally means "Flame-Colored victor of the people") while her mothers name references the color red.

Oh I see it now since the first three letters of her name create Pyro, which is latin for fire.
But her name can also come from the term for a victory that is to costly to even mean anything.
Which has got me wondering if her birth occured while something horrible happened to her family.

well, we only know she has a Mother. we don't know about the rest of her family.
In this AU, her Parents are Divorced, and her Mother, Aunts and Uncles live in a large Family "estate" in Northern Mistral.

In my AU her father fought in the height of the Great War, and did the V3 in the war instead of her daughter all when her mother was pregnant with her, he took an arrow to the heel and heart when invading forces threatened Mistral(I kinda think the allusion to Achillies should be more spread out thus preserving who she represents) and he made one last prayer to the maidens that her daughter has the happy ending like is only it is not cut short as his was thus Pyrrha's name is remembrance of her father, his death for his daughters birth.
Also in my AU Jaune's grandfather(whom I named Arthur Arc) was not only a war hero but also a traveling teacher(Atlas, Haven, and Beacon) and taught Weiss's and Pyrrha's fathers and after the war was killed by one of his one his most strongest students who went bad, Mortimer Dredmenn(as in Mordred The Traitor) who then went missing, his parents kept the secret from Jaune to keep from him seeking vengeance, but Jaune finds out later on when Mr Schnee's manipulative business partner Mr.D of Ironknight Incorporated is indeed Mortimer who's not only murder his grandfather but manipulated Weiss's father in his time of grief to become bitter and screwed over Papa Nikos, basically he's a total bastard

in this AU, the Nikos and Arc families are dynasties of Warriors, with Pyrrha's mother and Jaune's father being the current "head of the house" so to speak.
Kokkino Nikos is the Matriarch of House Nikos, who had a daughter by a Healer named Vrachos Metaxas, who tended to her injuries after a large battle with the Grimm. They separated because Vrachos did not approve of Pyrrha being made into a warrior at the expense of, well, everything else, and used his limited contact with her to make sure she still had a heart (which is part of why she gave Jaune, an obvious fuckup, the time of day in the first place.)
Kokkino is not a callous woman: she loves Pyrrha deeply and their close private life is far removed from their public indifferent manner. Kokkino and her sisters, Melaine (referencing darkness) and Kali (from Portokali, meaning Orange in Greek) have raised her with love and trained her in combat, and are proud of her accomplishments and find her suitable to inherit the title of Matriarch, though Melaine raises an eyebrow at Pyrrha's affection for Jaune.
they are immensely proud of Lia and her accomplishments...almost a bit-too-proud, compared to their response to the sickly JJ...
House Arc, whose current Patriarch is Acier Arc (steel, in French) supported by his brother Jonquille (Daffodil-Yellow reference) and Jaune's oldest Sister Citrine (a yellow gem) holds the future of the family name in his hand: by some curse of fate, both he, his brother, and his eldest daughter have all given birth to Girls...except for Jaune, who Acier found less than suitable for the role of head of the house.
that is, of course, until his son managed to somehow woo the famous Pyrrha Nikos. besides the fact that his "dullard" of a son managed to both get into Beacon academy and get into the pants of one of Remnants finest warriors, any children SHE sires are sure to be strong. Lia lives up to this, but she is a girl, and cannot take over the house under the terms of the charter.
when Jaune announces he has had a son, Acier is overjoyed...until he finds out that JJ is a frail, sickly, and decidedly unimpressive individual. smart as a whip, for sure, but...sadly...some work is needed. and the coddling by his parents will just not do.
Citrine herself is far from impressed with Pyrrha...a warrior she may be, but "no one is going to break my baby brother's heart to run off and play hero."

Her Mother and her extended aunts and Uncles (Kokkino is the Youngest of six children) are actually going to play an...interesting part in JJ's story, particularly a conflict with the Arc Dynasty...and JJ's unsuitability to carry on the Arc name.
there's a reason Papa Arc had 8 kids....and it has more to do with a mindset like that of Henry VIII than any desire for a large family....

Well, I was really thinking about how Jaune's dad sounds like a stereotype "jock" with all the "advice" he gives Jaune about women, combined with the whole " they never believed in me" thing Jaune described, makes it sound like he doesn't have the nicest parents in the world...
