Took me nearly 4 hours to do this piece and in 4 days, using anaverage of an hour each day to make a certain progress.
Hippo hysteria evolved with a photo reference of a hippo with its
mouth wide open. The concept, layout and design of the cute and plump
animal took shape through the painting process. The most enjoyable
portion is creating the eyes, both which looks into a different
direction to evoke a sense of delirium and dementia in the personality.
