In January 1985 Ofelia "Ana" Vella Begins Her Revenue Train Called The ACE-3000 Project It's About Building A New Coal Fired Steam Locomotive To Bring Diesels To Shame And To Ross Rowland's New Company American Coal Enterprises The Swedish Girl Greenbrier Will Haul A 4000-Ton Coal Train Up To Huntington To Hinton West Virginia On Her Home Rails Of The C&O Through The New River Gorge After Her Test Fire In December 1984 Is That Ofelia Was Renumbered To 614T Meaning 614-Test Engine Which Is Why Ross Rowland's Company American Coal Enterprises Is Joining Forces With The Chessie System Railroads And Foster Wheeler Corporation Where They Will Fund The Project So They Would Have Enough Money To Build A Coal Fired Steam Locomotive On Wednesday 16th 1985 Ofelia Was Taken To The C&O's Paint Shop To Have Her White Lining Repainted Before Heading Back Out To Continue On With The Coal Train But Then Door Got Frozen And She Got Stuck But Fortunately She Got Out And Continued On Wednesday 29th On Her Final Week In Service She Begin Hauling An Amtrak Cardinal Excursion From Hinton To Charleston West Virginia Although The Swedish Girl Did Put On A Fabulous Show In Snowy Weather The ACE-3000 Was Never Completed And So It Was Cancelled After Oil Drops Low And Ofelia Returned Home To Hagerstown Maryland That February Until April 1985 When She Made Her Break In Run To Altoona Pennsylvania Where Would Be Stored For A Whole Year
