OLD ART ALERT!Actually to be exact, it's not a rescan. I found (after sifting through dozens of ancient scratched DVDs) the original scan file and proceeded to correct the colour, levels, and such in a much better way that I did before. I thought it such an improvement that I decided to re-upload it.
So, again, this is OLD!!! old as in 2002, old as in the original has been sold for years. There are faults, I'm aware of them, I just thought it would be nice to display this much better version

Sadly you have no winged frogs though.
But I couldn't pay for it at the moment, so I'll just try to make one myself. Or even try to use your sculpture tutorials. so beautiful...
And you may call this an old piece, but it's still detailed, nicely painted and got a great anatomy. More than I can say of my old works.Love the falling leaves in the back too. Well done.

Yeah, I do like that one. This one is closer to what the original was like though. I think the main reason I wanted to redo it was that the other one was small (I used to size my work at about 600 pixels max back in the day, because most people had modems) but now I go about 800, and up to 200kb. The older one had those big ugly watermarks too, not to mention a link to a web address I no longer own, lol

You...probably have no idea who I am, but I've watched your art grow and improve since I first saw you post your work at the Vale. *sheepish grin* I'm Scylla, kind of threaded in and around the group of people who hung out together on Elfwood that you knew - Zef, Moon Lightning, Amarys, etc. - and I did and still do play at the Vale when time permits. I knew you, got to play with you briefly there, and I've always regretted that I didn't get to know you better.
You're an incredible artist, I've watched your site since it was one of the few Firebringer shrines on the web, and it was just when I saw the date on this piece that I finally got the courage to speak up. I can't believe it's been over five years... and ever since I first saw your work on the Vale art threads, I've admired it. This piece - like the rest of your portfolio - is beautiful. Thanks for sharing it again.

Oh, I know who you are... at least, I remember who you were five years ago, heh. I actually found some work from 99-2001 on an ancient data CD yesterday, and chuckled at all the drawings of people from the vale I had stored, fruits from my "potraits" thread! (I choose to believe that was a typo as opposed to my just being stupid.) It prompted me to go have a poke around the vale msn group for the first time in a long long time, and I was amazed to see how many of the old faces were still there. I think after I was banned for posting "porn", many of the members who used to watch my art or talk to me felt sort of weird about it. Also I was really amused I was still banned! hehe
I joined the Gryphon Guild almost six years ago, and am an admin there now. It's gotta be the most awesome online community ever, we have an art gallery, role play forums, art request forums, everything! You should come have a poke around and perhaps join? the URL is [link] If you join, after you've read our stickies and rules and such, it'd be great if you could pop into our chatroom
Anyway, I really glad you still enjoy my work, and I'm glad you said hi, it's always nice to hear from old friends who I thought the internet had swallowed

Well, I think I'm still mostly who I was five years ago, although suffice it to say I'm all growed-up now - I survived college and work as a graphic designer full-time, and I'm one of a handful of admins working at the Vale. Yanno, I meandered over to the Gryphon Guild a very long time ago and poked around the boards out of curiosity... I forget how I even found it!
They won't eat me if I join as a unicorn, right?

haha! thanks, I am totally guilty of drawing unicorns as horses with horns. I like to entertain myself that I've developed a distinctive style of doing them, but I still fall back on the old formula every now and then
