Description Leo just stared at her and she pursed her lips. “You know I won’t ever forgive you.” The bear responded with a solemn silence. “You said we would see a fairy, but I don’t think these woods are magic at all,” the girl challenged, turning her back to him.

There was a long pause.

“Leo…”

No answer came.

“…was there a face in that tree just now?”

She turned to him. The bear did not blink.

“I’m scared too” she said, taking his hand. Suddenly a great gnarled arm came shooting past them out of nowhere, and covered the spot where the face had been. This time, the little girl saw a huge brown eye staring at her from between the monstrous fingers.

“Why Leo,” she exclaimed, loosening her grip on his furry hand. “I think he’s scared of us!”

------------

Tagris, the last of the Peryssian tree giants (or so it was in his mind) had always seen himself as an ugly, lumbering oaf of a thing. He had been reminded of this revelation everyday in his youth as he discovered all the bright and beautiful flowers, and encountered the many colourful creatures inhabiting the expansive Peryssian giant forest he called home. All life around him possessing the ability to move, tended to scatter whenever his ungainly and thunderous form crashed through the trees. Even the plants seemed to bend away as far as possible to avoid being crushed. In all his loneliness, he began to gather the seeds he came upon, and planted them on his large head, nurturing them until there had grown a beautiful garden. He taught himself to move more delicately, and instead of taking flight as he approached, birds began to perch atop his head, returning each year to nest in the safety of his ever moving home.

Details here! [link]

I'm not quite sure I want to call this finished, but I've been working on it for so long that I need some closure! (plus it keeps distracting me, maybe if I say it's finished I'll forget about it) So there are still some parts in it that are rougher than the rest. I didn't intend it to be quite this huge, so apologies for the size!

Thanks to *astrals-stock for her beautiful stock photos. I used one as a reference for the gir's face, and one for an arm;

And for the other arm;

That's amazing! The amount of detail is simply mind-blowing. The story is also great. I've always loved the idea of moving trees ever since seeing the ents in the Lord of the Rings.
Beautiful work!
