Description I'm getting frustrated not submitting anything, the painting I'm working on is taking forever and I've been in lemur mode for weeks in anticipation of a project I was going to do this year (I will probably now be working on gibbons)! I've never tried exact realism before, and while it won't improve my painting to a great extent and it's completely unoriginal as an exact copy of a reference photo this was fun to do. Painted from scratch in photoshop elements, no colour picking, a few filters used. Took roughly 4 days working on and off.

Sooooo I am an anthropology post graduate student doing a presentation on lemur origins. I want to use this for my introduction splash because it is AMAZING. Publicly asking because I want you to know I really just love the work, but honestly asking because I think it has the punch I want to start my discussion with. May I? Well done either way.

If you're curious it would be shown at University College London, in a class dedicated to primate origins. Not beyond that.

This has to be one of the most incredible realism paintings I've ever seen! And it's digital, even- WOW!! Absolutely phenomenal! The eyes are especially beautiful, so shiny and deep. I don't even know what else to say- I'm just so blown away!

It would be a shame NOT to +fav this magnificent piece of art!

You're more than welcome! I agree completely- Lemurs are and have always been my favorite animals! And they're so much fun to draw- I personally like drawing all their quirky features, such as their teeth, feet, etc. They're just so unique and beautiful in every way!
