Description Olga enjoyed the feel of the snow as it crunched under her boots and the smell of the air, heavy with a sweet acrid smoke like old pipe tobacco. She was back in Moscow. Not her Moscow, but it was almost identical in so many ways that it still felt like home and reminded her of better times. She walked slowly past the Spasskaya Tower, with it's through-passage on the eastern wall of the Kremlin, overlooking Red Square. It looked exactly the way it was built back in 1491 in her world and even had the giant red star perched atop it's tower that the Soviets had added in 1935. It was always one of her favorite sites when she was first brought to the city as a girl so long ago. Olga pulled her furred hood closer around her head as she passed by a long line of tourists. The woman known as the Soviet Superwoman had been forced by her own hand to come here incognito after she had threatened the Russian government with a coup almost a year ago. A few of the people looked at the tall, obviously built woman in the over-coat as they passed, but none of them seemed to recognize her. There would be no cheering crowds as she descending in full uniform here, or comrades weeping and rushing at her just to touch her cape. No great parades full of marching soldiers and tanks, with the mighty Soviet air force flying by overhead for the people. Those days were long behind her and in a different place and time. The Moscow of 2010 was now a modern European capital ablaze with neon, populated by chic clubs and fast food restaurants. The USSR here had collapsed and failed, leaving behind only remnants of itself. In the US it was known as the "evil empire", but just how much of that was Western propaganda? Statues to Stalin have begun to reappear in Moscow, a museum devoted to him recently opened in Volgograd, and a nationwide poll last year named him the third greatest figure in Russian history.

The tall Russian shook off her political thoughts and took a deep breath. They were what got her in trouble in the first place after all. She just wanted to enjoy her time here since it was as close as she would ever get to her home again. Olga walked up to a kebab vendor nearby and purchased two of them. It was a kind of pancake, charcoal-grilled and filled with raw white cabbage and warm chicken. She greedily gulped them both down despite having already eaten a few hours ago at a restaurant is called Puchkarskaya Sloboda. The food was good, rather than "excellent" but worth having in her opinion and it had a fully stocked wine cellar (where she was technically older than most of the vintages). What she had really craved was the street foods-the dumplings known as piroshki, pies stuffed with meat or vegetables, potatoes filled with herring and onion-all of them delicious. Back home she had enjoyed them very much and frequently been gifted with them on her many return trips to Moscow during the War. Truly the Russian capital was like nowhere else on earth, this one or her own. It's was a showplace for excess but also a village: many grim Stalin-era buildings encircle cozy courtyards where children play on swings and pensioners walk their dogs in the snow. Being here, despite having to hide who she was and despite the obvious differences from her own time, made her truly happy and strengthened her resolve for what she had to do.

Maia, her Возлюбленный and now her betrothed had already gone on ahead to Angel Falls. They had been enjoying what was left of their engagement vacation to Venice when the local news announced that "Genocide" had escaped from justice yet again. Tartarus had managed to hold her for only about four months total. Here was supposed to be the happiest moment in her life and still Ilsa Hauppman hounded her.
Черт побери! She should have been there! She should have expected something like this. The problem was that no one did and now so many people paid for it with their lives. Mindy had put up a good fight. She would have to visit her when she returned to thank her personally. Olga was also very interested in meeting the mystery man with the golden axe, if nothing else than to thank him as well. Maia had wondered why Olga was not returning with her to Angel Falls straight away. It was not just to come back to homeland and see the sights and smells, taste the food. Her purpose here was not to simply remember the past and relive stories of glory from another time. Olga wanted to feel what it was like to be a Russian again. Her Soviet Union was gone and yet Nazism still remained. The very thought of it made her blood boil. She remembered what the German army's general orders were in regard to the Red Army and her people:

1. Political officials and leaders are to be liquidated.
2. Insofar as they are captured by the troops, an officer with authority to impose disciplinary punishment decides whether the given individual must be liquidated.
3. Political leaders in the Red Army are not recognized as prisoners of war and are to be liquidated at the latest in the prisoner-of-war transit camps.
4. The faintest manifestations of protest or disobedience should be met with ruthless reprisals.
5. Weapons should be used ruthlessly to suppress resistance.
6. The escaping POWs should be shot at without warning and with the determination to hit the target.

Ilsa Hauppman was still using this kind of brutal doctrine, but she had turned it against the peoples of Angel Falls. Civilians. Ordinary people dragged into a war that had supposedly ended decades ago. Hitler's death and fall of the Third Reich in Berlin had not solved a thing. Olga had to battle her and her so-called Fourth Reich as if they were still at war. It was the only way anymore. Up until now she had held back. With all her incredible powers she had chose to honor human moral codes and social mores in her time after the war. There had been so much blood and death she wanted to live up to an ideal that would inspire others. To be a role-model and someone children could look to for operating within the laws. To be an example.

Ilsa Hauppman wanted her to become a Red Army soldier again.

So she would.

You would have to ask the artist as I cannot draw a stick figure that resembles a person.

We can add jigsaw puzzle master to your accomplishments as well. Unless I'm mistaken this was a random image you received? To blend it so seemlessly into your overall story so that it not only works but becomes integral is a talent all by itself.

It was completely random. I had absolutely no warning on it! It took me two days to work it in seamlessly as you say. I am very glad you enjoyed it but it is easy for me to write for SSW sometimes, especially when I am inside her head. Images like this this just make it that much easier on me.

Fantastic job, comrade. I love how Olga feels in her element (she even looks that way in the render).

I do feel that all the problems mentioned in Olga's mental rant can be traced back to WW I. At lest that's how I feel. Also, I feel that a distinction should be made between "Nazi's" and "German Soldiers". It something that I'm going to touch upon when I write that piece I told you about.

Great work, once again.

I very much look forward to reading what you have. I know the distinction between German and Nazis but when I am writing for SSW sometimes she does not, given her rather unique perspective and history.

Actually, I should be more truthful. Sometimes when I read about England/Ireland relationships I sometimes have to remember the distinction between R.U.C.- "Black and Tans" vs. common British soldiers. It gets hard, but if you're serious about studying history it's a distinction you need to make.

BTW I'm reading a book called "The I.R.A." by Tim Pat Coogan. Here's an interesting fact. When a leader of the I.R.A., 'Pa' Murphy, went to Russia for help in the 1920's, he was asked by Russian representatives : "Did you hang any bishops?" When the Murphy answered "No", the Soviets laughed and said "Then you're doing it wrong."

When told the Pope thought Stalin should stop repressing Catholics under his yoke, Stalin famously asked, "The Pope? How many divisions has he got?"

This story is wonderful and ties in with a storyline idea I have for you, in case you're interested...

Aftering psyching herself up and hunting down Ilsa, Soviet Superwoman, with help from Maia, corners her in the warehouse district of Angel Falls and a battle of biblical proportions commences. In the end, Genocide kills Maia by ripping her body in two and knocking out Olga before making her escape.

Following the funeral, driven insane by the death of her spouse, Soviet Superwoman goes on a rampage through Angel Falls, hunting again for Genocide. All known superheroes and government officals try to stop her but fail. After a last ditch attempt by Mindy to calm her ends in failure, Crimson Conservative is called into action. Finding Olga isolated in Moscow, she viciously attacks her opponent and verbally abuses her at the same time. The repeated stress from Connie's attacks, coupled with her sanity and grief, causes Olga to a suffer massive mental breakdown.

Strangely stricken guilty by what she has done, Connie tries to comfort Olga, but ends up making love to her, despite her conservative views on homosexuality.

Deciding that she needs some stability in her life, Olga asks Connie to become the second Walkiria and her lover, to which Connie reluctantly agrees.

Adventure galore ensue, despite some skepticism and fear from Angel Falls and the world. One of the adventures include the pair finding and crippling Ilsa for life.

Later, Maia is somehow ressurected and catches up on recent events. I'll leave the rest up to your imagination.

Yikes!
Don't you want to see what we have planned for the wedding lol?
Very creative stuff there, but as it involves a bunch of other people's OC's I don't think Teri would be keen on Walkiria getting killed by Genocide. She probably wouldn't say no to the other way around however if you asked her.
Connie and Olga?! I dunno I might have to let James chime in on that...he could put it in her words which I think would speak more volumes in a few sentences than I could type.
Interesting plot but I don't think it works for me necessarily. That said I do really hope you enjoy what I do have planned as a lot of it will involve Walkiria and even Connie (despite my better judgment )
Thanks for commenting, you've got a lot of ideas brewing in there.

I am looking foward to the wedding!!!!! It's gonna be biblical!!!

Like I said, my story idea was just a suggestion... I got inspiration after Internet surfing and browsing two comicbook story arks - one where Superman dies after battling Doomsday. And the other one where during the Battle for Asgard, Sentry fights Ares, the Greek God of War, and kills him by physically tearing him in two...

Looking forward to more your edge-of-your seat stories!!!

Wow...excellent story, as usual.

And a very interesting dilemma. While Olga, and many others, would believe that Ilsa and her followers deserve death for what they've done at the courthouse there are some, albeit a small percentage, who believe that they should be brought to justice within the confines of both the law and the moral codes that make up the backbone of the city and country she now calls home.

This is going to be interesting...very interesting indeed.

First off, I like the make up she is wearing...it really accentuates her feminine beauty

Interesting little story, but Olga playing right into Ilsa's hands...while she is still to be wed no less will make things fairly complex. I know my characters probably won't affect her much and she probably already forgot Jessica'a little speech to her...but igniting their own WWIII in Angel Falls might push Olga out of the good graces of the community

On the other hand Angus and the rest of Section 51 would already be gearing up for war against Genocide, and he has no problem (morality or legally) with the use of lethal force against someone like that.
