Description
A 3-week old SP featuring my 400D, 70-200mm f/4 L and Speedlite 430EX.
I loooove how this turned out. No extreme edits here (I just tweaked the colors a bit).
Aaaaah, the bokeh.
Funny stuff:
My temperature wouldn't go down from 39/40 degrees yesterday so I was brought to the hospital at around 11 PM. Scary.

How would you describe the L? I'm thinking of buying one, but I'm still not entirely convinced it's wotrh 100%. I've not yet found any photo that cannot be obtained with cheaper lens...yet...could you give me a feedback? Thanks!

I know this is a really late response but...
L lenses are for professionals who seek to get near-perfect images. The "cheap" lenses that you're talking about are usually not as sharp as their big brothers.
A lot of factors are considered in a lens:
Build Quality
Design (The Hood of the 70-200mm f/4L is sooo... not nice compared to its f/2.8L counterpart. *sob*)
Sharpness
Color
Contrast
Saturation
Distortion
Flare
CA
In cheap lenses, CA is USUALLY noticable. It gets quite annoying sometimes but to the hobbyist, like you and me, CA is not much of a problem. We aren't making a freaking billboard anyways.

The 70-200mm F/4 is a scary lens if you ask me... it's only one stop away from a 70-200 F/2.8
Does it come with IS?
I'm hoping to get myself a Sony 70-400mm F/4-5.6 G series lens.
