Good Evening Everyone,This is the cover to the second issue of my comic book 'Artemis'. Three weeks ago I debuted the first issue at Aki Con in Everett Washington. Currently the first issue is for sale at 'The Comics Place' in Bellingham Washington. Soon it will be for sale online. I'll be uploading a link soon.
The second issue will be on sale in the end of February both online and comic book stores around the Washington/Seattle area.

Edit: Thank you all for all of your comments. I took them to heart. This is an updated version of the cover taking into consideration all of your comments. Some of the suggestions were great but required a little more deviation than I was willing. The pose for example is significant to the story. Every other suggestion however was made if it didn't change any of the story telling mechanisms.

Woww, there's a lot going on but it doesn't distract from the fight scene up front. Not showing the second girl's face brings interest since, at least for me, I'd like to know what she looks like now. ^^ But the poses and everything look great. I also like how symmetrical the background is, but the asymmetrical foreground contrasts well. Woo! Congrats on your comics!

Thanks a bunch Ace. I think you brought up a good point about the background. There was a lot going on and I even just added to it but I blurred the background thinking that might ease some of the busyness. I'm glad the cover sparked interest in the new character. I haven't revealed her yet so I suppose the cover is doing its job if you're interested.

Things are going very well. I am very lucky like you said but I'm also very busy trying to make all this turn into something. Glad you liked the next cover.

Ok you wanted my critique and here it comes. I took a second look to make sure what was up. Because what my thoughts were did address the main issue. This picture loses alot of energy that it should have going for me! And I think I figured out why.
Fire chick (sorry I don't know her name) isn't twisted with her punch. I understand wanting to show the breast and butt but it causes her punch to lose force.
Artemis isn't keeping eye contact with her opponent. Unless she is about stab that woman in the gut or fire gal has a wicked tattoo on her stomach Artemis should be looking straight ahead.
I do like the work with the elements and the glow for the sword. Its way to easy to get carried away with those things.

Thanks for your feedback. It was extremely detailed and helpful. I made some updates since you commented. I tried to move Artemis' eye so that it would better fit the action. The "fire chick" (its ok I haven't revealed who she is yet) has an open pose for a reason. It will make more sense in the book.
