Description
One of the concepts I did for a story that Mike Raicht and I were working on before we got overloaded with crepe' on the schedule. If I ever can find a way to get through my current workload, I'd love to tell this story.
Anyone got a magic pill I can take to draw twice as fast? Or maybe a clone? Yeah, a clone! That fucker could draw while I sleep or stare at the sun. Maybe not a good idea - we'd be either fist-fighting or fucking by the end of the first week... Coin toss, I suspect.
Anyhow, here's a drawing of a human!

You could make AI of yourself and download that copy into a robotic body? BUT then it wouldn't have your magic hands... Hhhmmm tough choice... Clone VS. robot duplicate both equally awesome...
PS: I agree with Agus you should find an apprentice or an assistant. I bet if you put out an apb for some talent you could find a real gem.

had a few apprentices over the years, but they become pros, then! lol
whenever i come across people that have potential and are likable, i try to help. some i've actually had work for me, though. If you know someone that wants to copy my crap, i can always find work! lol

cool! glad you dig them. i tend to ramble.
I have a buddy that will be putting out several more in the coming months. we were going to do a weekly podcast this year, but i just can't seem to clear up the schedule enough to keep it consistent. so i'll just be a guest from time to time.
and honestly, you absolutely never pissed me off - i felt bad my words caused you an emotional reaction. i grew up as a wild animal, so i'm still learning.

We're only human. It's cool, Anxiety revs me up a lot and then I need to take a step back. Also I've just had a bunch of dysfunctional family shit going on so I kinda left DA for a while.
Over all well but my progress is slow. I've been doing riven phoenix's the structure of man training course. I do 15-20min exercises 5 days a week. Also I've been trying to duplicate illustrations styles for practice... but sometimes I feel suffocated... there's so much to learn. Honestly I just want to get good enough to tell my own stories visually. I like making the scripts myself too but I also get stuck doing that. lol I have a really tight script I'm working on storyboarding now.

Britt moved up north, so the show was only 5 episodes. if you are missing any i bet i could dig them up for you. i'll have 4 more shows with another host coming out this year, though! sorry i can't do it all the time - schedule is madness this year...
sorry to hear about the family stuff - haunts us all and is never fun. hang in there!
as for your work. remember, each field is hard enough to become a pro at, but doing both is the rarest of the rare. BUT don't stop doing either - follow your muse! Remember, though, that to be able to swing it, you have to concentrate on one more than the other. draw 75% of the time and write the other 25% - or vice versa. You have to focus on one and do it with a realized purpose for long periods of time to improve your skill-set. Time management and goal discipline are your allies and path to success. Always draw and write with a purpose - no doodling. have a goal, conquer the goal. wash and repeat the next day.
i didn't start drawing late and i was hired to do hellboy after 2.5 years of hard work. if my dumb ass can do it, the sky's the limit for you.

I mostly listen to them while I work. Keeps me entertained but not to distracted.
Thanks for the advice! So for example... Lets say I focus on hands then should I only be drawing hands every day for the next several weeks? First I draw from reference the draw without to see if I have remembered and even so then I can only draw said angle.

yep - find weaknesses and attack them instead of hiding them. Make your weakness your strength and you will become a monster - i promise.
hands and faces are the most important of all anatomy (unless you draw comics, then boobs are) because they emote. stories are about emoting characters, so master those and you will get work immediately. but you have to master them. draw from life, from pictures, your loved ones, at the park, etc. when you no longer have to "solve" them and you find you are manipulating them at will, move to the entire human figure. put it all together and start working on environment and perspective. then all organics and exteriors.
then conquer the fucking world!

Finally someone speaking the truth about cloning one self. It will always end in sweet, sweet love making or murder. I would suggest, get an assistant and try not to murder/have sex with him or her and you´ll be fine

Your character design skill is inspiring. Also, I imagine I'd have a similar problem if I had a perfect clone or could travel a millisecond back in time and encounter my earlier self.
