Description
I was trying out some mid-page jumpcuts in this fight scene from Issue #3. It may seem easy to do, but to pull it off without confusing the reader can be tricky. I wish I had a bit more room in this issue to really explore the pirate ship.Factoid : the gunner from panel two is Nelson Daniel. He should get a stack of awards for his work on this series.

oh, i haven't done any in years. i've done crap for both Marvel and DC, so you could start with people that sell those books. but it's shit work, so i don't suggest it.

Seriously some of your best work and some of the finest artwork I have seen in decades. The comic world should be honored. The detail and flow is there at the same time as a nice balance of black that really harkens back to the masters of the genre. And yes, your pal Nelson does the most subtle but rich colors since Oliff in his prime.
They need to give you carte blanche to do whatever the f--k you wanna do, in a magazine format and just go straight out Metal Hurlant/Heavy Metal with it!

When I look at this page I think of the moments in war movies when the bomb drops and there is a ringing sound. Beautiful stuff.
Hmmm I did have to study it a bit to understand whats going on in panel 3 & 4 but I don't think the clarity is lost though. Once its colored there will be any confusion.
