Description
When you wander too far from the path of Springfalls on the night of Halloween looking for something that will give the living a fright, you will feel a breeze on your neck. Deep in the woods you go, you will start to see something move between the trees. He lurks in the darkness. You know he's probably near, and he's been terrorizing for years. You sware you've passed that tree twice already, but you really can't tell since they all look the same. Did that one just move? It must be your imagination or a hallucination, but one thing for sure is that this is not a dream.

Holding your bag of treats tight as you march into the night, wishing everything will be alright. He doesn't exist he's probably just an old myth, you think. It's just you and your shadow, but it looks like you have company. You turn around and see the legendary myth of Halloween... Orange Jack, his eyes ignite, then he leans over. You come face to face with this beast, and your heart races as your fear rises. "RUN!" Your conscience shouts as you run as fast as you can. Jack loves a chase he never loses a race, and your little legs are no match for him.

You trip and tumble down a hill into a field. The tall grass hides your presence, and you can see a barn, and you run towards sanctuary. The barn is old, and the floorboards creak with each step you take. You look for a place to hide, but you can't find one in time since the jack-o-lantern is not too far. You spy a ladder, and then you ascend to safety, Jack smashes in, looking for the pirate. You tease and mock the pumpkin, but all he does is grin since he knows he's going to win. Jack climbs up a wall, laughing all the way.
You try to run, but you're just too tired, and now your trick-or-treating has now come to an end. Orange Jack steps closer and closer, giggling with joy and ready to feast on your flesh. You quake in your boots and shed a hundred tears as your greatest fear gets near. You should have stayed on the path it was much safer, and now your picture will be all on milk cartons with the caption. "Have you seen me? I went missing last Halloween." You close your eyes as Jack comes face to face.

"BOO!" You hear from the jack-o-lantern as it melts into a puddle of orange and black goo. The puddle reforms into someone familiar with a feminine humanoid shape, and the creature laughs at you. You open your eyes and see two big glowing orange eyes staring down at you. It turns out that this was all prank planned by a worried mother who had noticed that her little lamb wandered off the path. She's been following you for hours, keeping an eye on you from the shadows, then the spirit of Halloween took over, and she decided to give you a good scare. You mourn the loss of your bag of treats, but it looks like Mother has a surprise for you. She had picked up your bag while you were running, and she hands it to you. She apologizes for the scare, then takes you into her arms and carries you back into town. You peek over her shoulder and see a man with jack-o-lantern head stand on top of a hill. He laughs, and then you quickly tug on your mother's antenna to get her attention.
She turns around, and there's nothing there. It looks like Orange Jack really is out there.🎃
