Wooh! Finally a complex shaded pic again! I missed that....but I'm always so lazy. I shoudn't be, it worths it, I'm very proud of that pic now x3I drew that because I was inspired by something that happened to me:
I was camping with my mom, some friends and my cousin. Then a twister came and we had to bring everything inside of the tend and then we had to hold the tend because it almost flew away. It rained like crazy, everything was wet, it was so stormy and it was also hailing.
That was so damn cool and we all survived 8D
After that I felt like drawing a rain picture....and here it is!
And I always wanted to draw something with rain x3

His pose, his expression and that spotlight make me expect him to start reciting "to use an umbrella or not to use it".
We had a badass twister here some months ago, but that one tore off rooves and trees. I'm glad you didn't get hurt, I bet it was a terrifying, yet awesome experience 
I hope you don't mind a tip: if you use photoshop, try applying the "motion blur" to the rain, at least in the farther drops. It'll give it a more natural and less rigid appearance

well, our twister wasn't that hard one, it was "just" VERY windy and it rained like under a shower and the hale was like 5 cm big, but there wasn't any roof flying around XD
so it was a very cool experience x33

The one we had here was terrible, it was the first time in my life that I felt actually afraid of a storm (and I usually love them. The stronger they are, the more I enjoy them). It would have been funny to see the rooves and trees flying, though. "Hey, look, there goes Mrs. Hopkins chimney top!"
I think it should be something like BewegungsunschΓ€rfe. You can make a pretty heavy rain using only the noise and motion blur filters (no need to draw all the drops one by one, you do that with the ones closer to the camera). I learnt that from the tutorials here [link] Maybe you'll find them useful too

OHHH i often love these complexed work, the more work and effort put into a peace, the more i will love it <3 SO YOU should be proude of this, i know i am pretty impressed actaully,
the mixture of hight contast and low dark spots really mix up well, noteabley, the hight lighted spots that give this the feel as if, hes really in a dark and stormy night, but under a light scoure, what a great effect!
his cute lil expresstion is what makes me oggle at this <3, and his awkword pose that says "yep...looks like rain" in such a noname'esh fashtion XP
how did you do those rain spots any how? transparent blue'sh and random strokes?

so i drew some rain drops on one layer, then i coppied them and pulled them beside the raindrops i already drew....and i did that till i had the whole pic full of it XD....understood? Oo
