I was a bit confused when I first saw these two constantly getting shipped, but the more I saw it, the more I wished it would happen. They would be perfect together.

I was just looking through FlutterMac art and saw no one answered your question! Big Mac and Fluttershy is just a pairing that started out because they're both quiet ponies. Out of all the main six he's seen by her the most whenever he's in the show, so I think that's why!

Eh, I need more reason to seriously pair two characters together than just standing near one another. That's really not evidence of a pairing being canon. Not by a long shot.

It's not just that, they have similar personalities, they both are very caring towards those they love and cherish, and they are just complete opposites work wise. I just like the ship because it was one of the first ships I found in the fandom

But they've still never interacted. I don't see any chemistry unless they properly interact. I can't get into fandom pairings. That's all that Fluttermac is, a fandom pairing that got popular due to fans taking small screenshots in the show where they're standing next to each outer out of context.
I personally like Flutterdash way more. I've been shipping it since I first watched the show, way before I stepped into the fandom. It's very underappreciated.

Oh my other favorite ship is AppleDash, I mean, they have some good chemistry. I don't know, we'll just have to wait and see with the show I guess. But remember the whole CherriMac thing? They had a whole episode together and they still aren't ever going to be canon

I don't ship CheeriMac that much, either. I prefer the idea of MarbleMac. Or whatever the current fandom name is for that pairing. They seem like they could easily be soulmates in the future.

I can't help but imagine Fluttershy is actually caught on the pegs of Mac's harness somehow. She can't be hovering in that position. She's either stuck, or she's using him as a slide

I hate this picture for several reasons, and I'm really thinking about de-following you, althought you make awesome pictures.

While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I got to say there are several flaws in your statement.
For one, cheerilee and big macintosh aren’t actually a cannon pairing. While they do appear closer in the series than fluttershy and big mac, that doesn’t count as them being a cannon pairing. I’ll admit I do support the pairing however that doesn’t mean I wont respect other peoples opinions and shippings like you have shown here.
Secondly: people don’t unwatch an artists because of what they draw. You watched this artist for their art, as you stated they have amazing art, so why would a simple shipping pic make a difference? Don’t unwatch them for something this minor. If the artist had been offensive towards someone else or you have no interest in their art then sure, you have a right to unwatch them, but if its something as simple as drawing something that is merely opinion based…and has little to no political value or world value……then I’d really suggest you reconsider your point of view.

Some time passed since this fight here, you know...
Your point one is true.
But, I gotta say, again, that Cheerilee is way more closer to Mac than Shy, and you can see that in the series.
Therefore I support that ship, since it's at least "semi-canon", if I may call it that way, but at least, seen from the series, a relationshipcdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/… "> between Cheerilee and Mac is very more likely than between Shy and Mac, since Cheerilee is at least a closer friend to Mac than Shy.
I do support other's shippings, especially with their own OCs, exceptions only being 100% canon shipscdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/… "> and Fluttershy.
Which leads me to your 2nd point:

I have to say, things concerning Fluttershy quite affect me very hard. There's hardly anyone who can fully understand what I feel for her.
That's also the reason why I often, not to say almost everytime, show such a harsh reaction to anything comparable to this picture. I just can't ignore it, and that is my problem. Again, I'm very sorry for that.
As I said several times before, Sophiecabra is an awesome artist, one of the greatest I know, and I'm still following her.
It just hit me completely unexpected as that pic showed up on my newsfeed.
That's why I lost control, and I wish that it wouldn't have happened.
I only hope that someday Sophiecabra and you all can forgive me my weakness and my outrage. :-/

Actually it isn't canon because they were under a love potion and not truly in love.

Only in "Hearts and Hooves Day", but they met also in later episodes for a picnic.
In "Filly Vanilli" was that thing where Cheerilee pretended to faint.
In one of the the EquestriaGirls Rainbow Rocks Trailer you can see Cheerilee and Big Mac attending the fair together.
Big Mac and Fluttershy, on the other hand... uh - hoof, were never seen together in any way, at maximum as colleagues during Filly Vanilli to let Fluttershy live her dream as a singer.
Not more than that.
Even if Cheerilee and Big Mac are not a couple, they are at least much closer than Big Mac is to Fluttershy.

Fluttershy hardly ever crosses paths with Big Mac, Fluttershy is ALWAYS shy towards other ponies she doesn't know so well, althought Big Mac is AJ's brother.
And hug, pff, I also hug friends of mine, that doesn't mean that I'm in a romance with them.
