Description Something different from plants and sunsets.

This is the Walt Disney Concert hall in downtown LA (Frank Gehry was the architect). The curves and color of the building are quite striking.

I like to think that my architecture shots are an homage to those who have built these wondrous pieces of art. Here's to you, Frank.

that's maybe one of your best pieces so far. I really sense some improvement going on I absolutely love the blueish colours and these interesting structures and shapes. once again: lighting (as well as the caused shadows) is fantastic. nicely done!

ooh thanks a lot! it's an absolutely beautiful and interesting building. This is probably one of the last shots I'm posting that is taken with my Fujifilm, since I think it's broken. Plus the D70 greatly exceeds the point and shoot.

Hehe...it seems we share the same great taste in buildings. You've stumbled across a great angle here. Were you able to go inside when you visited? The interior is just as stunning as the exterior. Keep up the good work.

The interior is a great contrast to the outside. Its really worth just heading inside for a minute or two. Only problem is that you can only see the lobby unless you pay to go on a tour.

Did you hear that they have to sandblast a few areas on the outside? Some people complained that the sun was reflecting off the panels and heating up their apartments to like 90 degrees or something. Pretty lame.

i guess i should try heading inside next time and see what it's all about.

hopefully the sanblasting won't take away the grandeur. I'd be mad also if there were a huge metallic wall heating up my house. It's kind of funny though.

Great shot, that is a really cool looking building, you captured it well. The colors are pretty, i like how the blue color matches the sky. Excellent job.

OOoO.. i likely very cool great lines and colors. I really like the contrast between the smooth lines and the sharp points and shadows cast on the building.. BRAVO well done, well composed as well. GREAT! keep shootin'

ahh thank you. the building itself is magnificent. capturing its essence was quite challenging, but fun. There are so many different angles and lines that constitute the architecture, and i think all shots of this building really are unique in its own fashion.
