For those who have vivid imaginations, and fear certain things, imagine a custom protagonist hunting down and killing your phobia. That's why I no longer wet my pants via Bloody Mary or the Pale Man.

On this card's second ability, I believe it would be worded "If a creature deals damage to you", cards never refer to damage being dealt to your life or another creature's toughness, but that that damage is heading straight for your dome, as you essentially are your life total.

Originally, I wanted him to have defender and "artifacts you control have shroud" (in reference to the dagger he was guarding), but I decided against it for some reason. I couldn't think of many abilities that would act as good metaphors for eating grapes, so in the end I went with opponents gaining life.

*edit- Whoops silly me, it would actually be worded:
"Whenever a creature deals damage to you or an opponent gains life, put a +1/+1 counter on CARDNAME."
