First off I want to say... this is so cool!! So now, for why...
I actually really like that she is the middle, and yet my focus falls to the books around her. I think that this might be because she is upside-down and I love that touch. Also, putting the picture in sepia makes it more interesting and helps some little things pop (her happy eyebrows, book covers, shadows).
One thing that could have been changed maybe is how the books were placed on the ground... I almost wish they were more sloppily placed, just for more meaning in the photo.
