Description
This is another depiction of my OC Holly. The paper is 18x24". I had never worked on a horse as large as this until now and I must say, it is not easy getting the proportions right and even washes are nearly impossible. I'm probably not going to work this large again anytime soon. I give artists that work this big or even larger a lot of credit.

Holly's styling is a little different than my intro picture of her. That's because I started working on my Farewell painting before Holly , and there's actually one more I drew before this one that's still in progress. Yeah, so you're kind of seeing my progress backwards. A word about color: I tried many combinations with the ink as well as a few different techniques to achieve Holly's unique coloration, and this was the closest I got. Not close enough for my preference, so it seems that Copic markers are going to be my art supply of choice for her. Anyway, all in all I think Farewell turned out alright. We'll see what I work on next!
