Description This purse only looks OK in photos. It is in fact, completely unusable! However, this was my first try at this style of purse (and only second purse ever)
It has a zippered pocket in the back and is fully lined with an adjustable strap.
The interfacing I used to make it stand was too hard and resulted in a "crunchy" feel and sharp edges.
I made tis to go with the piano JSK I made previously

Thanks! I'm thinking of just fixing it up and selling it cheap... It'll be usable, but not perfectly pretty :/

I saw this on your blog, and it makes me really sad that you find it unusable! I was going to make a purse with the same method, but shaped like an alarm clock.

Oh the version I posted on my blog with the tutorial is the successful version I made 2 purses and this one is not really functional as-is. It just needs the strap to be attached (which I suppose I could do) but some seams and stuff don't line up so it'd be ugly and I would be sad Maybe I am just being a bit of a perfectionist...

I wanted to make a clock purse too! Like the BABY clock purse, which I wanted to buy but it sold out before I could get it.... plus, it is quite small! If you do make a clock purse, I'd love to see it! I'm experimenting with a new version of making purses to look more like Brand bags :3 I was investigating my IW Strawberry purse replica and I think I have a good idea how to make it now....

Sorry for such a long reply

You could always give me the one you don't think is perfect! I kid, I kid.

I'll show you if I ever make a clock purse. And if you ever make something that looks like a Brand purse, please show me!

No problem, I love getting long messages.

I'm actually thinking of either selling it as recon bait or fixing it and then selling it really cheap (like, cost of materials cheap) I really don't need 2 of the same thing!!

I doubt I'll ever be able to make a really Brand-looking purse because I haven't got any leather or pleather to work with, but hopefully I can achieve something acceptably similar with just fabric Can't wait to see what you can make :crafty:

Why is it unusable? What are you going to do with it?

The strap isn't fully connected and it's ugly. I did take it out and put stuff in it, but it isn't anything I'm proud of

It looks great, and you learned from your mistakes. It's totally something to be proud of.
