Description
I started this piece back in February or March, while the hubs was still gone overseas. I have had bursts of working on it, followed by bouts of forgetting I even had it.
That said, I didn't let myself get distracted by a second cross-stitch...even though I did have other craft projects going on with this. But this was my main stitching one! 
Now it is done and I can't wait to have it framed and on my wall!

It really is rewarding to finish one, especially if it's one that challeneged you to learn a new skill. My mermaid when I do finish it, will always be remembered as the one that taught me to do french knots, as it forced me to learn them with its 50 some french knot strings of pearls....

Oi, french knots were so daunting to me when I first started! But I have done so many now, that I don't even think about them now. They are just another part of finishing up the piece.

The first so many I did, about 7-9 or so, I gave away, usually to my mom. I was so happy when I finally started keeping them and adding them to my own wall. It is some of the only pictures I have on my walls.
