This is my entry for *mirz-alt 's Relativity Contest , with the fan art being for Dark Flame.

A young girl sits by the window in her room, gazing down at the alley below. She is several stories up and usually has a front row seat to some of the seedier residents and their activity, if she wished to notice it. However, she directs her gaze off into the distance and keeps a sharp eye out for any flashes of bright red and orange. In her arms, she cuddles a likeness of her favorite superheroine, Dark Flame. The fiery-haired caped crusader has left a favorable impression on the youth, lending the child to attempt to make a stuffed doll of the woman. She clings to the toy, daydreaming of helping children when she grows up, just like Dark Flame.

I know, I said no more craft here....usually. But since this is for a contest, I wanted it to be submitted from my main account. I...did not expect how creative I was going to have to get to finish this bumbler. I have never added hair this way before. I thought it would be quick and neat. I was wrong. It took me over an hour to attach each piece of yarn, and then it took me another hour plus to separate each strand of yarn in half (two and two). But that was the only way I knew to make her yarny do curly. I was lucky enough to know where to by blue safety eyes. I embroidered the mouth and flame emblem, and slipped stitched on the belt. The mask....was made on the fly and turned out surprising well. Over all, she is a ginger fro and is pretty cute, IMHO.
