One of the pieces I have been working on, this took me roughly 25 months to do! Granted, I would go huge chunks of timejust letting it sit as I crocheted or worked on other cross-stitches. In fact, I started this one before I began work on my really big Artic one (with the polar bear and whale). I am glad to finally be finished with it, although it has made me HATE doing outlines. The outlines themselves took a week to get done. This is easily the most "detailed" piece I have done. In fact, the piece I have started since finishing this one only has 8 little outline stitches. I had to take a break from all that extra detail!

This isn't the "norm" for what I cross-stitch. However, the piece is based off of a scene by the artist Charles Wysocki , whose artwork has been turned into puzzles. During my high school years, my mom loved his work and we would put puzzles together based on his art. Needless to say, when I saw one in cross-stitch form, I had to by it. It helps that is has pumpkin in it. I actually found two, and fittingly enough, my mom has the other. Whether or not she will finish it or hand it off to me to do is still to be seen.

This was a Dimensions Kit, all I did was thread the needle and follow a pattern.

*As just a funny story, Dylan watched me work on this and finally decided he knew what the orange/yellow building was. He looked at me very seriously and said "Whore House." I about fell off the couch. He then repeated it multiple times. It took me almost 10 minutes to realize he was trying to say "Horse House". He now calls it a "Pony House"*
