First deviation with the DSLR!
Man, that camera is awesome. 
I also happened to notice that this photo is similar to another photo that I took around a year ago (which I have uploaded here for your viewing pleasure), back when I knew almost nothing about photography. I decided to give it the same name. I certainly hope I've gotten better since then.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I used a sharpening action by ~prperold on here. It works beautifully.

Btw. You should try taking pictures of animals. Plants are nice and all, but animals are nicer.
Stuff like bugs, toads, etc. They look awesome in pictures (even though I hate bugs)
