Description I just thought I'd share a bit of the progress for this one with you guys, as a few of my Watchers were asking about technique etc.

I'm a bit of a crap artist, because I never start on the left hand side like you're supposed to if you're right-handed (to prevent smudges). I always start wherever the hell I want to! For this, Flik came first; as he is the focus of the piece, I wanted to make sure that I worked that area to a good standard. It also helps because if anything like graphite staining happens (which DID happen on this, just by his mouth - but it wasn't enough to ruin it) I can start the drawing again before spending too many hours on it.

The blending on Flik's face/body and Dot's head is just done with a tortillon and a cotton bud, with 2H & H pencils. I guess this took about 2 hrs 30 or so; I wasn't really timing it! Hope this helps a bit, anyway (:
