Description Ahhh. You guys can ignore this. It was storming and I was bored.

So, I gave myself a random-generator challenge. The first thing it generated, I had to do.

This is Anna.
She's sixteen, has brown hair, brown eyes, and tan skin.
She just threw herself off a roof. (I'm laze and just drew her dying/dead. So sue me, it's 1:00 in the morning.)
Uh, so yeah. I told myself I'd write something to go with it, too. I guess.

...

The first time Anna flew, she was six. It was before her mother had gotten sick- the day before, she'd promised she would take Anna to the park.

And Mama always kept her promises.

Anna's favorite part of the playsets were always the swings. She would kick her legs, and go higher, and higher until they grew tired and she'd have to rest. Earlier that day, she'd seen some of the older kids on the swing- and they jumped off! It looked like fun... So she decided that when it was her turn on the swings, she'd do it.

When Anna finally got her turn, she grinned. She pushed off, and started kicking her legs back and forth. The swing carried her higher in the air- and finally when she reached the peak- she let go.

Anna closed her eyes and spread her arms out beside her. She thought she heard her mother cry out- but she didn't pay attention. She was flying! Soaring! She's pretty sure at one point she touched a cloud. Though, her eyes were closed, so she couldn't be sure.

The blissful feeling of freedom was snatched away, however, when Anna felt herself drop. Her eyes snapped open, and her mouth formed an "o" shape of surprise. The ground was coming closer and closer.

Anna broke her arm that day. It hurt, but she didn't care. She flew!

///

Even after her mother and father scolded her (and continued to do so), Anna continued to bring out that feeling. She jumped off swingsets, trees, anything she could think of. When she turned twelve she went on an airplane- she'd been really excited, but it wasn't the same as her kind of flying. She liked hers better.

The opportunities to fly her way, however, started to fade out. Her mother was ill, and her father started to drink. Highschool brought bullies, homework, and projects. She simply didn't have the time, nor the will to fly anymore.

Until tonight. Tonight while she was lying in bed, she let herself breathe, and think. She let herself remember what it was like soar through the air, to feel the wind rushing past her. Then, the ache became stronger, and stronger- until Anna gave in.

She slipped past her mother's room, and tip-toed past her unconscious father on the couch, and grabbed her shoes by the door. She slipped it quietly shut behind her. She slipped her old, tattered converse on her feet, and took off down the street. There was an old, broken down, and abandoned building just around the corner. It was tall, and had a staircase that led to the roof. Her thoughts echoed, fly, fly, FLY away. Anna smiled to herself and ran faster.

She pushed the creaky door open, and climbed the stairs. The closer she came to the top, the faster her heart beat increased. The adrenaline was coursing through her veins, and for the first time in what seemed like forever, her grin reached from ear to ear. She stopped in front of the door- the last door. Her hands were shaking in anticipation. Finally, she put her hands on the bar, and pushed it open. She took a step. And another, and another- until she was at the edge.

She didn't look down. She looked up.

Then, just like that day when she was six, she spread her arms out beside her.

To everyone else, she jumped.

But to Anna,

she flew.

...

And there you have it, friends. Whatever, please ignore this. It's stupid, but I told myself I would post it, so. Yeah. If you like it, great. If you don't, oh well.

Bah-Bye!

***UPDATE****

Oh wow. The realization that her eyes were colored in, somehow. My bad. It's fixed now.

Uh... You're welcome?? I honestly didn't mean to. I just went with what the random generator said, and created a story that at least kind-of goes with the theme.
