Description Once they were done with Madeline and Ursula's task, the squad met encountered Briar at first, being joined soon after by Seymour. The reason for it was that they were making a fundraising for the upcoming expedition and they needed some funding. Isabelle heavily objected the measure, as it was by definition something the goverment should be handling, not "sucking" the population dry from their money in what it could be a risky venture. The ampharos heavily disagree with her view, but the flygon did agree that it wasn't the best idea around.

Siegfried from his part smelt the true intentions of Seymour with a couple of slip-ups with his tongue and attitude, so, along with Amanda, decided to capitalize on his greed. The zorua stated that they could help out, but they would be doing it with Miss Maria's products, as well as those that Mister Theodore Thatcher, the father of Elaine, decided to be suitable, and the vulpix's theater tickets. The kicker was... the guilds would only receive a fraction of the money, with the rest going to everyone else, including the squad.

As expected, Seymour didn't like the idea, accusing the zorua of hoarding what the "expedition" would need. However, Elaine pointed out that all the products and services they would be putting on the beach market came from well established business that would not be so keen on the ampharos' complaints, even suggesting to meet her father, Miss Maria and the owner of the theater Amanda was performing to discuss it further. So, a meeting with the head of the ho-oh's family was agreed as well as the other parties.

Needless to say, Theodore Thatcher reminded Seymour why he carried his Iron Staff, pretty much pressing him to either agree that the money should be split or not have the revenue at all, having the backup of Miss Maria and the owner of the theater. And the yveltal warned the ampharos that any glimpse of greed coming from his eyes would be met with serious repercussions if he wanted to squish extra pokes for his seemingly bottomless coffer.

Being called up like that, an possibly to avoid public humiliation, Seymour begrudgingly relented. Briar wasn't too happy with the outcome, but with some additional talking with Siegfried, Amanda, Silvia and Eleanor, he conceded it was the better alternative considering their respective situations. The only thing that the flygon asked the zorua was to make every bit of poke he got into his pockets count and not leave them to waste like the ampharos would try to if he had the chance. The dark fox assured the dragon that any amount of money was funneled into investments, so he could expect either more members joining up or better equipment being carried around.

And so, the squad set up a stall in one of the many spots they had available and proceeded to make some money. Lucia, Isabelle, Alan and Pierre handled the transporting of crates and other products while everyone else stayed in the beach and racked the poke count. Siegfried oversaw the operation, with Todd and Amanda acting as bodyguards from time to time, and acumulated the necesary money for not only the expedition, but also their specific expenses.

From the distance, Seymour looked from time to time quite frustrated, seeing how many pokés they were generating, knowing he wouldn't be able to touch a single one of them. From the part of Briar, he was the only one allowed to get to the stall and see how the squad was doing. He was fairly impressed that there were organized crates where the cash was falling into, with the labels of which group the money should end up. He also got a transcript of the transactions thanks to Alan, Aurelius and Elaine, so anything unusual could be called up.

Briar was still a bit conflicted that even if there was a good amount of pokés going to the guilds, the rest was not available, to the point he commented it to Elaine. The ho-oh understood his displeasure, but when the money of others was involved, there wasn't much room for "good-will gestures", and if anything, the extra money could get them better stuff that they could need once the expedition started, something she showed she had some concerns on the side of her guild, especially if Seymour was the one involved.

Regardless, the money was gathered by the time of closure and they sent it towards the respective parties, including the accounts of the transactions.
