Description

Brekken, once coming of age, was taken to explore the cave where Avalon, his father, had spent much of his time. Fear flooded Brekken's body and he felt paralysed by the gaze of the red eyes following him as he got deeper down. Traveling for what seemed like hours Avalon finally stopped and sat gesturing for Brekken to sit besides him. Avalon covered the lantern and cave seemed to come alive with activity sounds of water dripping and bats crying, Brekken's heart raced he had never felt so terrified in his life. He had to leave, get out, find the exit. The calm soothing voice of his father brought his focus to bare and his fear subsided, instead replaced by a sense of curiosity, as he listened to the words his father told him hanging on every world as if it was law. His father told him how this was a test to see if he was ready to go out in the world and to ready himself for whats to come and to see if he was ready to find out why the caves had stolen his father away from him for so much of his young life. Uncovering the lantern Avalon's face lost all expression his voice grew dim, as if what he was about to say, caused him some form of pain or trauma. This is where Brekken learned of his father's encounter with the god of mischief Loki and the events that happened that faithful day.
