The Dragonborn was able to find the Mythic Dawn Camp where the Mythic Dawn cultist are excavating an artifact of some kind to power up an Oblivion Gate they rebuild.After the Dragonborn killed the three members Mythic Dawn the camp he found a journal belonging to the Excavation Leader. Reading it revealed the reason why they are here they found an Ayleid Ruin in the Varlais Cavern and inside it they believe a Great Welkynd Stone is located, which might be the last Great Welkynd Stone. Inside the cave the Dragonborn discover that most of the Mythic Dawn cultists were killed by Ayleid Wights, which look like undead Ayleids or Ayleid Guardians.
