Before the Three Heroes leave Nordinbad, they talk with Buri the Blacksmith of Nordinbad. But as the Three Heroes were talking with him, they smell something and Farin the Dwarven Champion from Erebor recognized that quickly as burnt hair. Buri told while laughing it's hard to be a Blacksmith without a few sparks landing you beard. The other Dwarves called him Buri Burntbeard. He used to have beard down to his belt. This is why he keeps a bucket of water nearby.

The Three Heroes asked what they are mining in Nordinbad, he told them iron mostly, with occasional silver and gold every now and then. They do ironwork with villages near here in trade for coin, some other items, but mostly food. Right now, he's working on a silver belt studded with crystal, with a special mount for the gem he craves above all others, the gem that comes from no mine. Eradan and Andriel were confused what gem was that, but Farin knows what he's talking about, all Dwarves do. It's Pearls! While Buri has a few white pearls in trade over the years, but the pearls he wants for the center is a pearl he has only heard of. A Black Pearl. The Three Heroes told him they'll keep an eye out for them for him.

The Three Heroes then asked how his skill are as a Blacksmith are. He said he'll put skill is up against any smith, Dwarf, Elf, or Man. Thanks to his family secret. His grandsire goes all the way back to the smiths that worked alongside the great Elven-smith Celebrimbor himself, the greatest smith of the Second Age.

Note: Celebrimbor is the smith that made 19 of the 20 Rings of Power 5000 years ago.

Note: Because Buri also makes jewelry this make a Whitesmith as well as a Blacksmith.
