This is a depressed angel. Sad isn't it? So sad that her wings become dark as the night. For a moment, I realized that she looks alot like me, seriously.Her wings are iridescent black like a raven. It was hard to do it with colored pencil, but I actually had a prisma colored white one.

strangely, i do actually like this. i'm not normally a fan of manga style drawings (although I did love the sequences in Kill Bill 2...), this is really quite good. I think the reason is, you've taken out the flat shading that manga often has, and you've used some pretty delicate colour-tones and shading textures, which help give this piece a real character and sincerity that i don't normally see in manga (perhaps because i'm missing it, but i feel it isn't there... i don't know...)
I really like the expression too... it goes perfectly with the skin-tone which is virtually a blush...
what do you think of my feeling that most manga feels as if it has character which is 'put on' and not really that real?
