There should be an option for it when you open a new file in Photoshop/whatever. 300 DPI is the normal quality for stuff that will be printed.
Apparently you can change the DPI on something you've already made, so
"For an existing document you would change the resolution by [Image]-[Image Size...] then setting the resolution to 300 pixels per inch."
It might look ugly though. XD

i only have photoshop elements though..i wonder if it still works the same.
