Description Soatsera, a Martian city that had a Communist revolution sparked by two Soviet astronauts in Aelita or, The Decline of Mars (1923) by Alexei Tolstoy.

This is a bit of a mix between the book version of Aelita and the very loose adaptation, Aelita, Queen of Mars (1924), directed by Yakov Protazanov.

The fantastic costumes are from the movie. They were designed by Constructivist artist Aleksandra Ekster. I mixed and matched a few things, but kept them pretty much the same. I liked them so much more than the costumes from the book and the movie's in the public domain too, so I figured what the hell.

The name of the city, the colours of the Martians' skin (light blue and brick red), and the fact that it's not *all a dream* are from the book.
