Thank god the Corps finally began to retire these birds, they were good in the day, but these days even the pilots refer to them as the 'whistling sh**can of death'...the crew chiefs don't worry when they leak, only when they stop leaking, 'cause it means they are out of fluids...

Ahaha, yes, I listened to a few of them fly over when I was at Camp Pendleton several years ago, they looked a bit rough around the edges. The Canadian 'labs were bought back in the 1960's, and they were refitted in the '80s, and finally taken out of service in the early 2000s as they were getting way too old, and also that one crashed in the 90's due to their age.
Sorta like the looks of them though, they look like a miniaturized version of the Chinook, and they look neat.

As I pondered what the cargo shuttles in my stories would look like, I started here---be fun to fit one out as an RV, wouldn't it?
