Description Supremusarus rex is a large ceratopsians found in Australia. It was discovered on June 15, 1998, in Dinosaur Cove. For a majority of its time known to the scientific community, it was thought to be a composite fossil with the body, head, and tail being thought to be from three new species. This changed when, on October 5, 2001, a nearly complete fossil was found with some skin and feather impressions. This makes Supremusarus rex the most well-known Australian dinosaur. It is now known that it is a bassel ceratopsian that evolved a frill and horns like more derived ceratopsians. It is also known that it was omnivorous eating bark, grass, insects, carrion, and occasionally living prey. It is actually known what color Supremusarus rex was due to how well preserved its fossil was. It was mostly grey with black back and potential strips (although it could also had have spots). It also had a tan belly and red feet and head with yellow spots around its eyes. It also had black and red feathers on the end of its tail.
