Description
During my last semester in high school, my art teacher gave a sketchbook assignment to create a series of twelve things. I chose to create twelve landscapes.
This is my seventh sketch, one of my less realistic 'land'-scapes that features an ocean made of magma. There are two islands in this particular sketch; the volcano on the right, and the tiny island with the metal tree on the left. The things in the background are actually background fire to provide the feeling of immense heat, much like the flames around the sun in the sky that are also seen in my sixth sketch.
