I always say I'm not going to enter the starmen.net funfest, and I always end up making something for it. XD It's not like I've ever won, but it's fun. I might even make some more entries if I have time later on.

But this one is for the GPP 2, Twoson! Of course if you've played Earthbound, you'd recognize these Happy Happyists. They've captured Ness and are converting him to be blindly devoted to Happy Happyism like them. These Happy Happyists are ready to conquer the world and paint everything BLUE! Blue Blue...

You build a very cute scene here!
Sadly I don´t know the characters, but I guess I get what it´s about roughly.
I´m glad you entered the contest!
Don´t be sad even if you don´t win, it´s the spirit that counts!
The expressions are really nice and you also know where to put the shadows, but remember that where shadows are, there is always light.
You did great on the paint smears, but add light to your figures to make them appear more 3-dimensional, too.
You can also try inking on your lines.
Do you know what that means?
Right now all of your lines have the same strength, but to ink them you use different strength and width of the lines.
For example you could use fatter lines for htings that are close by.
Here´s a link to a tutorial that I can recomend to understand the general idea. [link]
I don´t use that technique so I´ll have to leave it at that, but you can find numerous tutorials here on DA.

And yeah, I've actually been wondering how people do that with changing different thicknesses for the lines. It always looks so cool. I'll probably have to try it out sometime.
