Oooooh, pretty! I love all the icy shades and the light effects.

Thanks!

I experimented with some new shading techniques (for example that if you have cold light, you should have warm shadows in a picture, so the shadows here are purple, you hardly notice, but it really looked a lot better than black or staying in tone and just going for a darker blue).

Huh, I didn't know that! I'll have to keep that in mind.

I came across a cool guide about it a while ago: Use of the colour wheel for lighting and shading

Oooh, that's pretty cool! I dunno though, I almost feel like I like the "wrong" cat pictures better . . . XD

I find the "right" pictures look more natural, but I think you can use the 'too warm' or 'too cold' variances for artistic effect. After all, you don't always go for natural looks; if you want the picture to feel cold to a viewer, maybe all bluish colours are a good choice anyway.

Yes, I thought of it! I was listening to it when I wrote the story this is from.

Alriiiiight. Could probably be a little better, but. It's going. P:

How about you?

Couldn't it always be a little better?

Okay. Kind of the same, actually.

True. P:

I oddly crave a mug brownie now.
I've never had a mug brownie before.

I'm not even sure if I know what a mug brownie is... Is it one of these cookies you get to coffees or teas sometimes?

I call those rusks. I think that's what you're talking about?

But no. This is what I'm referring to.

Speedy1236 In reply to Abc123-IX [2017-02-05 21:56:38 +0000 UTC]

Probably. They're not usually brownies here.

Oh! You take a brownie and melt it in the microwave? That sounds interesting! I have to get hold of a brownie to try that out!

I think it's more like you mix vanilla, sugar, water, assorted ingredients, and a shit ton of cocoa and stick it in the microwave.
But do try it. P:

That sounds more like a variation of hot chocolate to me.

Would it work? Can you melt a cookie or cake once it became solid? Surely this deserves an experiment.
Unfortunately, we have no brownies. I wonder if makes a difference if I just take some other cookie?
Then the question is if you could consume it while warm enough to stay melted, if it melts at all, and if stays melted at consumable temperatures.
And if I just burns into the mug you used.

... I am overthinking this.

It gets solid, though! Ish. You eat it with a spoon and optional vanilla ice cream on top.

I mean, if you used a chocolate chip cookie, perhaps? The chocolate chips'd definitely melt.

.... You are. XD

Interesting!

Maybe I should just stop thinking about it, before I actually decide to go through with it and need a new microwave or something after.

Perhaps that would be in the best interests of the microwave. XD

My mom made spring rolls today. :3

Cool! We only ever get spring rolls at restaurants over here.

ooh.

Asian supermarkets should have the pastry needed to wrap those.
But I don't know how many of those you have in Germany, so.

Don't think I've ever seen one. Maybe they would have one in larger cities, like Berlin, Cologne or Munich, but over here, we just get regular super markets.
