OH OH. if it isn't a nuisance could it be possible to expand this to a 16:10 aspect ratio, suitable for wallpaper use?

Its like a canine version of my fursona. well its almost exactly that. sort of.

And that colour for the hands is a pretty nice addition. How come i didn't think of that? brilliant. I like the lighting effects, too. shading and stuff is nice. First time i've seen you do it. O_o maybe i haven't been watching your submissions closely enough or was it your first posted art peice with it?

(sorry no actual constructive critique though, i'm terrible at that)

yeah.....i extended some lines that i should have left alone...... i'd say fail.
aand it is the first time I've experimented with that kind of lighting.
LOL. anything and everything helps with my development as an artist and a person (furson?).

just wait a while. i haven't had one of those break-throughs in a while. the time will come when i suddenly exceed in skills i once sucked at. like i can do hands now XD.
LOL you should start drawing too! then you'll get better over time! it took me a year to get to this point from doodling and using paint with a mouse.
no comments are useless! just like no questions are stupid!! thanks for all the support btw! especially when i sucked before the summer :S

I ought to start drawing yes. Well, continue. I used to but motivation issues blah blah and then my tabletPC died. and you're welcome. :3 It's a pleasure. pretty cool to see an artist develop his skills actually. x3

Oooh... Nice work, man! I like the lighting effects, especially the highlights on the body and the glowsticks' light trails themselves. Also, the shirt came out really nice-- the bunching on the raised arm can be tough, but you pulled it off well, along with the rest of the folds there.

On the more critical end, just a few things stood out for me-- first, his lowered left arm seems a little oddly bent, between the wrist and the rest of the forearm. The left and right arms seem a bit different in length because of it, though it doesn't hurt the picture any. That aside, the folds on the pants come off a bit vague-- I mean like how, in the shirt, they imply how the shirt falls on his body. In the pants though, I can tell where the legs would fall because of the shading and where the feet are facing, but I don't get much out of the folds themselves, if that makes any sense? Baggy clothes change things up a bit, but folds are still key.

And for one last thing, on the shading itself. It's a good shading job, and I really like how you handled much of it-- the only things that detract from that, to me, are the eyes. The irises themselves look good, but when I take a full look at the picture, the eyes as a whole kind of look flat. It might help if you lightly shaded the whites of the eyes some, like where they touch skin/edges; especially since there's a bit of shadow along his brow in that area as is, neh?

Summary: *Wall of text* *Wall of text* *Wall of text* xD

oh wow. didn't expect a full critique......
thanks! that helps A LOT!!
i know what you mean about the eyes and the pants. i have trouble with pant folds quite a bit. like with the visualization. and the eyes could have used more definition. i knew i was missing something :S. it's good to know that someone is honest enough to tell me what i did wrong

No problem! Just glad I could help some-- hopefully without coming off too long-winded. xD

I appreciate honesty anyways. Even if you wrote a 500 word critique about how bad it is, I would take it as advice.

Heh, alright... Just keep in mind what you did well too, neh? Fromt he sound of it, I think you get that enough, but that's part of critique too-- and it's healthy to feel good about how you're improving, now and then. xD
