Ooooh... Never used a zippo lighter myself, but that certainly is an impressive flash. The darkness behind the spark serves as a well-contrasting backdrop for the flame, and I think that's part of what makes it so (For lack of a less punn-y word) flashy. on a side note, did you take multiple shots of it coming alight before coming to this one, or was this the one-and-only? I mean, it looks like a spontaneous flash, but you captured the image with a lot of clarity, considering the subject matter-- when you work with something as... volatile, as fire, I'd think it'd be hard to time the photograph with the spark; since you're essentially multitasking with each hand, to light the lighter with one, and capture the image with the other.

lol actually i used a timer and it took at least 8-10 tries to get this semi-decent picture. im pretty sure i would have gotten a better result if it wasn't a picture taken out of pure boredom. i will try it again soon
