Description
The pattern comes from an old weaver's compilation book that dates back to between 1823 and 1826. The white yarn is 10/2 cotton and the black yarn is 8/2 mercerized cotton. I wove it in the star fashion (X fashion) instead of the rose fashion (O fashion). I don't think it is technically overshot since it doesn't have the true plain weave background. I like the pattern anyway. I could have beaten harder to get the black yarn to cover more completely the white.
