Your featured song shall be Scarborough Fair by Sarah Brightman, who is, in my own humble opinion, the queen of all music~ [link]

  So as you all probably know from my excessive venting, I've been feeling ... well, not so much myself as of late. I have been feeling my art to be under attack from several sources ... and I was tempted to quit drawing for a few weeks. (sounds short to you all, perhaps, but I can barely go 3 days without drawing. ><)

  Anyway I felt like to push past this, and not let it become a case of the dreaded artblock, I had to draw. To draw something, anything. So rather than choosing my own OC or something for someone else, because those would make me feel nervous and like it had to be perfect so as to avert judgment (even fanart from a poll may ensure too much judgment), I just chose I character I liked and drew them. Megara from Hercules came to mind - that wonderful and badass lady who I've actually always looked up to lol >w< I really like her design always, and had a lot of fun emulating the art style of the movie in my own style.
  I did use some references for anatomy but obviously copied nothing. For her pose I was inspired by the official artwork for this character.

I feel Meg fits quite well in my style, and I also chose her to get in some practice and inspiration with Greek designs so I may soon work on Wisteria (she is based on the Oracle of Delphi). I love how purple it turned out X'D and I really envy Meg's hair. She honestly reminds me a bit of my Aileen~
One "mistake" I've noticed is that her head appear big, but I assure you this is an illusion. I did careful measuring and used references; I believe it's her hair. However, if you notice any other anatomy mistakes, please do not hesitate to give me a polite critique. I am here to improve after all. . . Though I do feel like I've been getting better as of late. Her left (on the right) forarm is quite skinny though, and it's honestly bothering me a lot ...

Um ... btw, the reason for the scratches is thus: um, some pretty violent things happen in the movie, so ... and with my art style, I go for a whimsical yet dark sort of vibe, and everyone ends up with minor guro >w<

Lineart: This got so many faves even though it's just a scrap, lol~ Tysm everyone ;w;
