Description //EDIT// 9-8-17// This map is, as maps tend to become, now out of date. I have to update it with new territories, the other continents, and a change in size //

I AM PROUD OF MYSELF...because this is the first time I've ever drawn a map and I did it all by myself! xD It's not perfect, but I really like it, so I guess that's what really counts xD

This is the world of my steampunk elves. If you've watched me for a good while (first of all, THANK YOU<3) you've probably heard me talking about a steampunk elf story at least once or twice somewhere, whether in a journal, or from another post. I've been working on this story (that doesn't even have an official name yet) for 5-6ish years now.. which is AMAZING for me, considering I jump ship on so many projects so quickly all the time. u3u
Anyway, I finally got this world to have coherent and logical lore that makes some sort of sense (at least to me, so far xD). I have my elven races sorted out, and their backgrounds. I just need to make sheets for them and post them. Then I can work on the characters and the plot holes I still have in the story. Of course... by the time I get that far, it'll probably be in 5-10 years, but that's alright.. as long as I stick with it xD

ANYWAY~~~~~~~~~~
This is the two main continents in their world, Rune and Milian, on the planet Soren. Most of Milian is still uninhabited, so it's not featured on this particular map.
Soren is sort of like Earth in laws of gravity and air and whatnot...basically, if we humans couldn't live on plaent Earth, Soren would be a great alternative (not that that means it's an alt. earth though). There are four main groups of elf races: Afari, Lunari, Dokari, and Vulpelves. And there are four major territories: Fergavia (green), Windchestiq Woods (orange), Gravroq(red) and Abalonia (brown). The main characters of my story are Afari elves, and I don't plan to go in depth with all the elf races in the story, but I do have characters from the other races and scenes happen where these races live.

I'm not going to explain a great deal about them right now, in this description, but I will say what cities/territories they each live in.
Afari elves mostly live in the woods, in the Kingdom of Fergavia, the largest city on the continent of Rune with a large wall surrounding it. Most Afari don't get out much and they tend to stay in their family homes for generations.

Lunari elves mostly live in Abalonia, and while it may look like a small territory, it isn't. They live more on the water than they do the land, so there are cityboats all around the coast. They venture futher out into the waters, and everything within the red lines surrounding the city is their territory.

Dokari elves(a missing civilization at the time of my story) created and live in underground cities in the Gravroq Tunnels

Lastly, the Vulpelves live in the Windchestiq Woods of Milian. They used to live in Rune, specifically, Feeder's Field and the Creeping Forest , but migrated because [redacted].

Some Lunari and Vulpelves also live in Fergavia, and some Afari live in Abalonia. Unfortunately, outside the cities of Rune, it's a nightmare to live (because...reasons ), so the Gravroq Tunnels have been extended (the Dokari no longer live there, no one has seen them for generations) and now go underneath every city/kingdom...of course the tunnels close to Fergavia are guarded intently. So you either must travel through the tunnels, on a boat, OR by air on an airship.

So yeah... that's all I'm gonna say for now. I really want to develop this thing. If not for my own pleasure, at least to use for my school assignment in character development xD Also I tried my best to use worlds like "lagoon" and "cove" correctly, considering they are all specific types of geographical phenomenon. Hopefully I did that right. I also didn't put the points in the right place all the time (ie, the black and white bulletpoint where it says Market City, is NOT actually in the spot where Market City actually is)...but it's a minor thing.

Holy crap! Steampunk elves? That just made it at least 2x cooler.
I actually have a sort-of similar project ongoing as well. Eren is an alternate Earth with, yes, elven races. But it's actually the goblins that are the steampunkers.

Anyways, connections aside, that's some really impressive lore. I look forward to seeing a lot more of this project!

I guess I should have worded that better xD This is on a different planet than Earth.. called Soren.. what I meant was that the planet is so very close in atmosphere, gravity, natural phenomenon to Earth, that humans could technically live on Soren as an alternative to living on Earth. So Earth is somewhere out there in the galaxy, but I don't think anyone on Soren is aware of other intelligent life out there yet(and vice versa). The only difference between the planets is, of course, location in space and the creatures inhabiting it, but also Soren has two suns...Prima is much like our own sun, and the second sun Hexcuria is much like our moon, but still a star, just farther away from Soren, so it isn't as bright(andit glows red/orange). Hexcuria also has it's own moon called Smol

And yeah I love Steampunk! Well honestly I love anything in a Victorian/Edwardian or neo-Victorian setting. Clockpunk and decopunk are also cool though.
But that's cool, your story! I'm checking out your gallery as I type xD I think you have some great ideas. I'd like to see more of your Eren project. Also steampunk goblins sound amazing xD

And thanks. Although, the story is far from written xD Since I somehow managed to figure out all of my elven races and how they interact with each other (allies, enemies, who trades what and with who) I think I'm in a good place to make bio sheets for the different races, so that could be the next thing to upload. Considering that I have to work on this stuff for my current illustration project, it sort of forces me to have to get things done xD

I am also thinking of publishing the story on Taptastic   because I'll have the option to upload with written chapters, but add some drawings here and there for visual aid of each page. Easier than a full webcomic and more engaging than just walls of text on a screen. I could just upload the story here, and add drawings as the top image, but with Taptastic, I can insert drawings between chapters and paragraphs, as needed. The only thing is, Taptastic isn't available to people with Windows phones, so I may just upload to both Taptastic and Tumblr(since I can still add drawings inbetween paragraphs on Tumblr).

Ah, yes, I misread it.
Hehe. Smol. I wonder how big it is...

Thanks! I'm glad you like my projects as well!
Their (the goblins') whole society idea is based on Rush's Clockwork Angels album. Actually, most of the setting is heavily Rush-fluenced. Hehe.

Yeah; like I said, the thought you put into your societal interactions is impressive.
Ah, I don't have an account on either. I would like to read it whenever you begin cranking out pages, though.

It's okay xD  That was my bad u3u
teehee XD

I do! ...wait, let me get this straight... you have ADHD, a million stories, one in particular with steampunk elves, AND it's based off of a specific music?? WE ARE THE SAME PERSON.

Lol I had never heard of Rush or the album until now, but I'm listening as I type and I actually really like Seven Cities of Gold. Rush really reminds me of the band Yes and I'm so down for that.

I based my story off of two music artists actually.. so I dunno if that's cheating xD Anyway, I mostly use the SkyWorld album of Two Steps From Hell to get a good feel for the visuals and aesthetics(especially when writing), and The Airship album by Port Blue  for names of places and character aesthetics(more for when I draw them). As a side note, I did not choose them because the albums were titled skyworld or the airship xD That was just a great coincidence.

Thank you! It's been a long time coming.. I've worked on this thing for so long, I'm just glad the pieces are finally joining together like they should xD And thanks! I'll definitely keep you posted. You don't have to have an account of Tumblr or Tapastic to read stories/comics on them :3

WAT
WHOA
YOU MIGHT BE RIGHT (o)-(o)
The people you meet on dA...

Ahaha, yeah, it seems like everyone I come in contact with is exposed to Rush. I'm a shamelessly huge fan of their music. Glad you like it! Though oddly, 7COG is my least favorite off that album. My faves from Clockwork Angels are Clockwork Angels (the song, lol), BU2B, and especially The Garden.

Actually, I'm also listening to your recommendation while I type and I must say, I'm quite liking The Airship. Very much reminds me of Minecraft music, interestingly enough. I can see why it's such a huge inspiration for your aesthetics.
Have not gotten around to SkyWorld yet, but that's next.

Awesome! I'll try to keep up as best I can!

(Also, sorry it took so long to reply. usually I'm very prompt about replying; I just wanted to make sure I had the time to reply thoroughly and thoughtfully. I'll try to be quicker on that in the future. )
