I've never felt so wide awake
Cause I'm wonder-struck
I love how you take my breath away
(Take my breath away)
I'm thunderstruck
To tell you the truth, I'm so afraid
(I'm so afraid)
That I'm out of luck
I love how you take my breath away
(Take my breath away)
I'm thunderstruck

Anyone who knows anything about me, probably knows I'm not a big reader. ADHD doesn't want me to be lmao
But that said, if a book/book series really captivates me, I will DEVOUR IT. Granted, audiobooks are certainly easier for me to digest than reading them myself.
But either way, it has to REALLY, and I mean R E A L L Y captivate me, deeply. The last book series that was able to do that was... Monster High, back in 2010 lmao. So it's been a while.
I randomly had the book Fierce Heart by Tara Grayce pop up on Audible and decided to give it a try. After listening to two other books that weren't super great, I honestly didn't really know what to expect.
But now I'm four books deep and BOY LEMME TELL YOU ABOUT ALL MY FEELINGS 😭😭😭😭😭😭
So, as a description: For the good of her kingdom and for peace between the human and elven kingdoms, the human princess Essie agrees to marry the youngest elven prince, Farrendel. His alter ego is the fearsome warrior Laesornysh ('Death on the Wind' in Elvish), as he wields a powerful lightning magic. All he's ever known himself to be is a weapon of war.
The trolls up north are attacking the elves, as they have been for at least 100 years, and sparking a war. Meanwhile, Essie and Farrendel are just trying to get to know each other and live their lives and I'm--AHHHHHHHH LOOOOOOOORD I wish I could cry about it with someone 😭😭 they are the cutest of cinnamon rolls and their dynamic is so genuine and heartwarming and it just fills me up with warm fuzzies 🥺 They go through so much and I legit teared up and cried a little on some parts of their journey, ngl.
Just...just please... read the Elven Alliance book series... 😭 fangirl with me.
